Yellow Lobster 01, 02
An off shore vessel out of New Bedford, MA that fishes the Gulf of Maine, told me they had a “yellow” on board. I rushed to get to the boat to photograph the rare lobster before they moved on. While researching, I learned that the yellow lobsters are rarer than blue lobsters. The result of a rare genetic mutation the odds of finding a yellow lobster is estimated to be 1 in 30 million! It was a very special treat to be able to photograph this lobster.
