Story behind Photos — Puffins
A long anticipated boat excursion from Jones Port, Maine to Machias Seal Island in the Bay of Fundy, was my 40th birthday present to myself. Since Puffins stay at sea for most of the year, this rocky island Bird Sanctuary is the perfect place for them to nest and raise their young along with other sea birds. Being the largest Puffin colony on the coast of Maine it attracts both birders and photographers. Permanent tiny wooden buildings are set up around the island as blinds for photographers as well as spectators for close up viewing of the puffins. I had extraordinary day connecting with my photography passion so I am very proud of these puffin photos.
These Puffin images are appropriate for many occasions as they exude a feelings of joy, happiness, friendship and encouragement.
